One of the fun parts of Stardew Valley house design is the opportunity to additionally personalize your journey. With that being said, let’s help you create Stardew Valley’s most unique house design. The Farmhouse is the player's permanent residence in Stardew Valley.

Stardew Valley House Interior Design Ideas

You can actually place farm items like chests, furnaces or even kegs in your house. Use this to your advantage if you want to design a room to brew wine or a storage room. I’ve made it so that the kitchen looks like it has a wooden area in the middle of it. It did this using Wood Floors, I bet you didn’t know you could place floors inside your house. I’ve also made the tables look like those Japanese low tables or “Chabudai” as they call it.

Updated my house for 1.6

With Robin's help, you can give your farmhouse quite the home makeover. Learn about the cost and resource requirements for each upgrade in this Stardew Valley Guide. Sadly, you can’t remove the cupboards and counters in the kitchen, so usually, players just keep the kitchen in that room.

Flooring and Wallpaper can be changed using patterns bought from Pierre's or JojaMart, or fetched from a Catalogue. New furniture (including fireplaces) can be added at any time. If you love an island theme, here’s some inspiration for your Ginger Island house. Incorporate houseplants, tropical-themed bedding, ship paintings, and more.

Interior

They’re quite big and make for good hiding spots when you’re doing hide and seek with your friends. This game is all about the wonderful storyline and emotions. Allow yourself to tune into creativity inspired by your authentic Stardew Valley journey.

Cute Year 4 House Design

With so many different aesthetics to choose from, you can truly make your home your own. I hope these design ideas have inspired you to give your home a personal touch and make it the perfect relaxing retreat. If you love the look of a cozy, rustic cabin, try incorporating wooden furniture and dark colors into your design. Add soft lighting, a fireplace, and lots of plants to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

With cushions around them as seats, the thing is they’re not cushions nor seats. Those are actually Log Sections that can be bought at Robin’s store, you can’t actually sit on them, they do look nice though. You should have an idea of what types of rooms you want. Do you want your bedroom to be on the Southern side? These are all valid questions, and should be answered in the planning phase. As you can also see, some of my rooms have a classic Japanese style to them, and themes like that can help you design your house.

Add some comfortable seating, various teas, and maybe even some homemade pastries to enjoy. For more Stardew Valley Ideas, check out these cool farm layout ideas. Bookcases are a great way to divide the room or fill up empty spaces.

The outer footprint of the farmhouse is a 5x9 rectangle. The fireplace can be moved by left-clicking or turned on by right-clicking on it. The second farmhouse upgrade includes another sizable addition that includes a nursery. You'll need to get this upgrade if you want to have kids with your spouse. Also, to get additional space you can remove the wall that separates the living room and master bedroom.

You can however place a lot of fridges there if you like keeping your food close by. Unless your home’s Interior Design hasn’t been changed since your basic starting furniture – then it’s better to sleep in your barn. Stardew Valley is an open-ended country-life RPG with support for 1–8 players. If your answer is yes, make yourself a dream home right away. In our opinion this home is the definition of coziness. The great news is there were no furniture mods used to create such a beautiful environment.

Seb is a resident of Pelican Town who enjoys computer games, reading comic books and sci-fi novels, and spending alone time in his room. Stardew Valley is an incredibly relaxing and charming game that transports you to the idyllic countryside life. One of the best parts of the game is designing and decorating your home to fit your style. In addition to the interior change, you may also notice the outside of the house gets a new cleaned-up look. If you're thinking about marriage, you'll have a space for your spouse with this new layout. Create a tranquil tea house in your home for a peaceful escape.

Choose soft, warm colors and comfortable furniture for the ultimate restful retreat. The kitchen adds not only the ability to cook but also a place to store food items in the fridge. It acts just like any other storage container except you'll be able to cook with anything stored in the fridge (and your personal inventory). Try to keep kitchen essentials in your fridge for easy cooking in the future. Not only does it increase your living space, but it also includes a kitchen, allowing you to cook dishes for yourself and friends, or to sell.

Once your farm is established and you have a chunk of change saved, you can talk with Robin to upgrade your home. Go to Robin's Carpenter Shop when you're ready and choose "Upgrade House" in her shop menu. When you arrive in Stardew Valley, you'll find yourself in a quaint, one-room home with little to do other than sleep and watch TV.

I would love to return someday and treat myself to another massage, and to be able to spend more time in that tropi-sauna. The service was excellent and the staff was accommodating, with great attention to detail (which I appreciate as someone with a severe seafood allergy). Every plate stood out on its own, and felt comforting while at times challenging to my palate, which I appreciated.

The staff was personable and informative, plus the massage therapist for Maridelis was also named Tilden, which is a surprise since it’s a fairly uncommon name (and was super exciting to both Tildens once we realized). I scheduled a 90-minute massage with the massage therapist Marileidy, and once I got past how tight my muscles were it was just a really, really good massage. I would be interested to try their other offerings in addition to a shorter massage if I went back because of how good the service was. The only thing that was slightly distracting was the music—it moved from ambient spa music to techno to acoustic and it made it a little hard to relax during the service.

A giant urban bathhouse is opening in Brooklyn this week

There is also a comprehensive spa menu with services like massage therapy, body scrubs and wraps, platza, and other special offers. The Wall Street Bath and Spa is a unique ultra-modern facility that affords you all the comfort and relaxation that you need. It is a toxic-free and stress-free environment where you can escape from everyday life.

Wall Street Bath & Spa

It was a lot of meat, but they do ask if you have any dietary restrictions, and honestly, the vegan dish was the best thing I tried. When Bathhouse arrived in Brooklyn two years ago, the wellness destination—which offers massages, facials, scrubs, communal pools, and a full-service restaurant—became the talk of Williamsburg. So four W editors ventured to the North side to test it out, and gave their honest opinions. You will get special services like private soaking tub, complimentary beverages and seasonal fruits, a Korean-style scrub, and massages. Even though I’m a mere 25 years old, I definitely felt like a rejuvenated 23-year-old when I left. Since it was one of my first experiences of the sort, I was nervous going into it, but the staff was welcoming and the space felt inviting—not too intimidating.

Corporate & Social Events

In line with its social spa ethos, Bathhouse is also home to a restaurant of the same name from NYC restaurateur Akiva Elstein. Open to bathers and outside guests alike, the airy 40-seat eatery sports marble tables, picture windows lined with tropical plants and a soaring geometric bar stocked with natural wines. If you're coming straight from the baths, there's no need to change — you can just slip on one of the dining robes, custom-designed by culinary workwear brand Tilit, and make yourself at home. The Finnish style sauna offers a comforting dry heat in a natural wood chamber. Adding water to the rocks in the furnace creates an intense burst of steam that permeates the room and opens both your pores and lungs.

The decor will match the authentic vibe as well, with handmade Moroccan and Turkish tiles across certain areas and original Kelo pine from Northern Europe as the base material for the various banyas and saunas. You will experience delightful sensations as you witness the different water temperatures of of the various baths. Wellness is encouraged and seen as part of everyday life, and they have made it very accessible and affordable to all those who are interested. It is a lovely place to relax and enjoy a meal before or after your treatment. If you are looking for a vacation activity, a place to let go of stress and rejuvenate, or a place to hang out and bond with your friends or partner, then you should think about going to a bathhouse. Bathhouse day passes start at $45 for early bird entry (Monday to Friday until 11 a.m.), $55 for Monday to Friday visits, and $70 for Saturday and Sunday access.

But everyone working there was so lovely and kind, and the treatments were worth it. My anxieties going into it were social-related—not being sure what to expect upon arrival and how I was supposed to behave within the space. I was fully vaccinated by the time I had my appointment, and felt comfortable spending time indoors (with just a bit of hesitation), and thankfully went after work with a coworker friend (see above for Tilden) so I had someone to talk to. I think my social skills that were lost due to the pandemic are slowly healing, but at the time of my visit, I was still not used to meeting new people. They’d also taken a lot of care to find interesting wines from less well-known varietals and often overlooked regions, so if you’re interested in retoxing after your detox, that’s an option, too.

I went with my coworker Maridelis after work on a Wednesday, and I would definitely recommend going with a friend. The space and amenities were clean and clearly a lot of thought went into their design—it was fairly chic and minimalist, but everything was well maintained. After going through a locker room which also had showers and bathrooms, we went down to Bathhouse’s subterranean amenities. It definitely felt private and removed from Williamsburg upstairs, aside from the rumble of what I assume was an extra loud L train during my massage.

In the basement level of this 1930s factory building, you'll find Bathhouse — one of the most interesting wellness destinations in New York City. "I think what we're doing is resonating with people," co-founder Jason Goodman told Travel + Leisure during a tour. "People are sick of the frou-frou, fake relaxation theater stuff." Instead, he hopes to offer people an experience that's equal parts restorative and convivial.

The wine pairings came with in-depth explanations about the vineyards and their owners, which provided a new layer of enjoyment to the experience. My back has been killing me, so I tried the 90-minute massage, which was fantastic. I requested my masseuse focus on my lower back, and he was attentive to my needs. Time flew by, and by the end of the session, I got up from the table and felt like I was floating. I had achieved relaxation and was able to enjoy myself in the pools and saunas once again.

The Urban Bathhouse Is a Wellness Trend We Can Get Behind

That's exactly what World Spa, the new 50,000-square-foot space opening at 1571 McDonald Avenue in Brooklyn on December 8, is promising to achieve. As its name implies, the destination is bringing a slew of authentic spa experiences from all around the world smack-dab in the middle of Brooklyn. I had heard of Bathhouse before—a friend wanted me to go with them when it was still a bit too COVID-y in the world, so I declined, but was thrilled when this came up, because I had FOMO after not going and hearing about their experience. You can walk in during the day and get this experience or you can make reservations especially at night. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic date especially if you and your partner love going to the spa. It is a unique and vibrant spot, especially with its water lounge and the indoor towering three-story waterfall which is exciting and refreshing.

BROOKLYN BATHHOUSE

The process helps rid the muscles of excess lactic acid which reliefs muscle fatigue and soreness. Come to our Russian Bath House located in Brooklyn NY and see how great you can feel once you experience the Banya. The atmosphere and experience at this bathhouse will transport you back to the ancient times of the Greeks, Romans, and Ottomans. Shibui Spa is located within the Greenwich Hotel in  New York, and it is one place where you will get a balance between the traditional and modern approaches to wellness. Also, the atmosphere is calm and charming and you will get a balance between city life and nature. Services begin from as low as 129$ for treatments, but the best way to enjoy the services here is by being a registered member.

ESCAPE. INDULGE. REJUVENATE. WORLD SPA.

World music is pumping, people are laughing and speaking loudly, and all amenities are in a shared space (besides your treatment). (It’s hard not to, as the space is compact.) Cleanliness is one thing that I am usually paranoid about when I go to spas or shared bathing spaces. Bathhouse felt, looked, and smelled very clean—staff are constantly replenishing the water dispenser, clearing abandoned towels, and wiping down surfaces.

Hours

Chilly Chicago nights are welcome if it means a visit to this opulent bathhouse in the style of Ottoman, Greek, and Roman traditions, occupying a restored factory built in 1902. Candlelight flickers off of exposed brick, wooden beams, and industrial columns as you soak in baths of different temperatures at your own pace, adding on massages and treatments employing argan oil, Himalayan salt, and olive oil. For true decadence, opt for the wine experience, where you’ll be submerged in an antique Venetian well filled with tempranillo while simultaneously enjoying a craniofacial massage. Embark on a cultural bathing and spa journey at WORLD SPA, the enchanting urban retreat of New York City. Immerse yourself in the authenticity of Eastern European banyas, Finnish saunas, and Moroccan hammams.

Treatments

It’s nearly impossible to use your phone when enjoying them (and often not allowed). Next time you’re in need of a digital detox and some relaxation time, seek out one of these urban sanctuaries. This is our pick for get-togethers large and small (like a birthday or bachelorette).

The activities here will help you relax, detox, manage weight, increase longevity, relieve pain, balance your hormones, support your gut, and alleviate stress. The Well New York is a wellness centre with a lot of integrated activities that help you improve your well-being and encourage healthy habits. You will find a team of well-trained and experienced personnel who help you attain your fitness and wellness goals. One amazing feature of this place is the on-site restaurant and bar where you can enjoy breakfast, dinner, and cocktails. This lovely place is the perfect spot for you to escape from your daily busy schedule as you unwind, heal, and rejuvenate. A thing like a bathhouse is not something you will find commonly in most cities, but you can’t miss this in New York.

The massage services

Enjoy unlimited access, priority treatment, and exclusive perks, including Birch & Oak Private Club entry, complimentary valet parking, and savings on luxury amenities. This is more than a spa; it's a sanctuary where every moment, from unique amenities to specialized treatments, is crafted for your well-being. Elevate your escape—book now and step into a world of unparalleled luxury. The staff at the World Spa Lounge will prepare small bites from around the world alongside coffees, teas, smoothies and kombucha. The destination will also hold a liquor license and so visitors will get to unwind with a cocktail, wine or a beer as well. Perhaps most notably given the usual offerings at other spas around town, World Spa will also serve food endemic to the cultures that its various treatments highlight.

Owners Zina and Boris Kotlyar, Joseph Feldsherov say they wanted to create an environment that was similar to an old style banya in Russia. "Marble is so cold, wood helps you feel warmer." The great quality of steam also helps to feel warmer. Mermaid Spa also offers Russian platza with soap or venik - a leafy bundle of birch or oak twigs.

Unlike other spas of similar quality, there's no pressure to keep your voice down — this is a place where you can have a little fun. When I visited, Bathhouse was comfortably busy, the buzz of conversation taking the place of windchime-and-panpipe "spa music." An attendant leads you through a black-lit hallway, which tunnels through a glass-enclosed chamber full of glowing tropical plants. In the locker rooms, you shower and anoint yourself with various cedar-scented tinctures.

Seeing that was really comforting for someone like myself—who gets the ick easily if these types of spaces aren’t sparkling clean. I tried all of the saunas and pools—both the tropical and dry saunas, and the three thermal pools. I followed the advice of another bathgoer I briefly chatted with and alternated between extreme hot and cold temperatures (15 minutes in the steam sauna and as long as I could stand—two whole minutes—in the cold pool). The extremes felt refreshing and challenging (especially the time that seemed to stretch on forever in the cold thermal pool).

There are several facilities to choose from, including a cold-bath pool, acupressure hydrotherapy aqua jet pools and four heated mineral pools that mimic Asian and European traditional baths. Ariel, my aesthetician, was amazing; she was so kind and friendly, and her massage and scrub pressures were on point. She was super thorough and would gently check in to make sure I was comfortable. I will be going back to her exclusively and I attribute a lot of my positive experience at Bathhouse to her. My treatment was done on a cool marble slab, which is traditionally Moroccan. I remember thinking to myself I couldn’t remember the last time I felt this relaxed.

Slated to open this winter, Sōku in Austin draws from both Japanese and European tradition. Natural bamboo elements will greet you as you drop into hot and cold pools, saunas, private soaking rooms, and showers that open to spacious Japanese gardens. The indoor-outdoor venue will also feature an open-air pool, juice bar, and café. I wish I had gotten a facial, so maybe I’ll return for that treatment, but I don’t know that I would recommend visiting the baths to just anyone. The experience with and observing some of the other guests left a bad taste in my mouth.

Final Environmental Assessment for the Pink House Released U S. Fish & Wildlife Service

Working with others to conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife, plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. In response to community members, the Service has worked diligently with landowners, elected officials, and local advocacy groups for eight years to find an equal-value land exchange. While several promising leads were pursued, none were ultimately successful, including scenarios outlined below. Additional land exchange opportunities will no longer be considered as the Service implements the final EA.

Further, the property has become an attractive nuisance, requiring frequent law enforcement patrols and repair work due to vandalism. Service maintenance staff and funds are increasingly required to maintain structural stability and safety. The house has a permanently flooded basement, is within an active flood zone, and recent sea level rise predictions indicate flooding will be even more severe in the years to come.

Staff are currently reviewing all public comments submitted between November 1-30, 2023. It will likely take at least 1 month to analyze comments, draft responses, and edit the plan before a final draft is published some time in the New Year. While the public comment period has ended, anyone with potentially viable land exchange opportunities may still reach out to refuge staff at (see below and this page for specific land exchange criteria). To maintain the house in perpetuity would strain the refuge's limited resources at the expense of wildlife conservation and other visitor needs.

It contains materials harmful to human health, including asbestos, and requires frequent maintenance to prevent catastrophic damage. The property floods routinely — already twice this year — and sea level rise projections indicate flooding frequency in this area will increase. As a result, the long-term viability of the structure in its current location is untenable. In the interest of safety, and to ensure the house remained intact to affect a land exchange, staff maintained the house to prevent catastrophic damage. The Service will continue to maintain the structure as required through the public auction process.

Many new faces enjoyed the festive atmosphere and commented on how nice the hatchery is and all the fish in the Aquariums. Knowing that this event reached so many people in a positive way and spread holiday cheer, provides a wonderful gift to the hatchery staff and Fish and Wildlife Service. Removal of the Pink House would create an opportunity to enhance both the future resiliency and public access opportunities of this area. This would include providing a small parking area on the existing footprint of the driveway and constructing an accessible, low-profile viewing area. An area that has long been closed to public access would afford a unique opportunity for people of all abilities to experience and learn about the Great Marsh ecosystem from a unique vantage point.

The US Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) will work with the General Services Administration to list the house for public auction, with a target of later this spring or early summer for a one-to-two-month auction. If the auction proceeds and is successful, the house would be relocated or repurposed this year, and if not successful, the Service will abate lead and asbestos hazards and remove the house. The Refuge considered reimagining the visitor experience at the Miller House, but it was ultimately decided that the best use of the building is employee and volunteer housing. It is not known if this is the same mountain lion reported by another member of the public at a Chubbuck business during the early morning hours on April 17, though it is likely the same cat. Fish and Game staff and PPD officers worked collaboratively with others on scene to keep the 90-pound lion treed until the Fish and Game immobilization team arrived. An accessible observation platform would be constructed, providing an elevated position where all visitors can appreciate the natural beauty and learn about the ecology of the Great Marsh.

The Education Center will provide guided tours from DNR staff every 45 minutes, with the last tour departing at 2 p.m. Health and safety hazards prevent the Service from accepting volunteer restoration work due to risk of serious injury. Further, federal law stipulates that contracted construction work undergo a competitive bidding process and adhere to federal wage and labor standards. Due to the refuge’s core mission to protect wildlife and their habitats, and persistent flooding concerns of the property, the Pink House is not suitable for use by Service employees or members of the public in its present location. However, through the General Services Administration auction process, the house may be relocated or removed and repurposed by interested buyers. Further, the property has become an attractive nuisance, requiring frequent law enforcement patrols and repairs due to vandalism.

In addition, to our full menu, a special three-course Valentine’s Day menu will be available for $80, including a starter, an 8-oz. Filet Mignon and South African Lobster Tail with your choice of sides, and a dessert. Welcome to The Fish House, where we serve the finest and freshest seafood delicacies.

New boat propeller promises more speed, efficiency al com

Stainless is a stronger metal than aluminum, so this type of prop is tougher against damage. It also doesn’t flex, so it holds its shape in the water and can increase the speed depending on boat and engine type. The Sharrow MX™ Propeller is the winner of the prestigious 2020 Miami International Boat Show Innovation Award and also the winner of the 2022 Boating Marine Power Innovation Award from Boating Magazine.

Furthermore, speaking to MBY, Boattest.com’s founder and president Jeff Hammond, confirmed it wasn’t just the performance data that astounded his two test captains but the transformation in the boat’s cruising refinement and handling. Both captains reported less vibration, quieter running and exceptional grip in turns. For the past 25 years, DesignTown USA has served our family of clients with the look, feel, and texture they envision.

Loop Propellers – Prop Innovation From Sharrow Marine

The same principle applies to boat propellers, where the tip vortices are even more pronounced and can lead to cavitation, when water is momentarily vapourised by the sudden change in pressure creating bubbles. As for Sebastian’s real job, the Lincoln Lab has already flown a small model plane that generates an “ionic wind” for propulsion. “This has potentially opened new and unexplored possibilities for aircraft which are quieter, mechanically simpler, and do not emit combustion emissions,” spokesman Steven Barrett said. Again, drones will likely be the first application for the new power source but Barrett foresees hybrid designs that could create more fuel-efficient airliners and cargo planes. Vastly reducing the amount of fluid that "slips" out the sides of a propeller rather than being pushed through, the Sharrow props suck more water through, and advance a boat further, per turn.

Performance Reports

That said, they do tend to flex, which can hinder the boat’s performance and speed. Propellers can make such an impact on performance that your neighbor could have the exact same boat and engine, but if the prop is different, the two boats could yield different results. Let’s first breakdown how a boat propeller functions to better understand why it’s important to choose the right one for your boat. The testers also report on more subjective tests such as cornering and low-speed handling, at which all of them also indicated improvement over conventional propellers.

MIT lincoln laboratory’s winning rotor design for drones

It also works remarkably well for marine propulsion, and there are already commercially available toroidal boat props on the market that boost power, flatten out the acceleration pitch of boats and markedly reduce noise. First devised by Archimedes in 200 BC, propellers are mechanical devices composed of several blades that rotate at high speed to enable an aircraft or water vehicle to move across a distance. A radical new toroidal boat propeller is being touted as the single biggest advance in propeller design since the 1930s. Claimed to deliver significant fuel savings across all different types and sizes of craft as well as faster planing, higher top speeds, superior handling and reduced vibration, it sounds almost too good to be true. Researchers at MIT have done some tinkering and may have revolutionized propeller design. Almost on a scientific whim, a team at the Lincoln Laboratory whipped up a few batches of “toroidal” propellers for a drone on a 3D printer and discovered they were not only much quieter than the OEM props but they put out more thrust at the same power level.

Marine animals can hear a much wider range of frequencies than humans can. "I think this gives people another dimension to explore in propeller design," Sebastian said. It's the constant hum of all the cargo, cruise, and charter ships crisscrossing the ocean and trailing the coasts. Their noise is growing more thunderous each year as their propellers blare into the ocean void. "Propellers, as we know, are pretty loud," says Dr. Thomas Sebastian, a senior staff member in the Lincoln Lab's Structural and Thermal-Fluids Engineering Group.

how toroidal propellers could impact aerial + marine sectors

Propellers are designed to take a fluid, generally air or water, and use a rotating motion to push that fluid through. They're evolutions, in a sense, from the Archimedes' screw, which was likely used in ancient Egypt thousands of years before it was described by Archimedes in 234 BCE. It has dramatically changed and improved the overall profile of my boat.

Our prop makers are the best in the business at creating pieces that make you look good. We work with you to create the exact high-quality pieces you need to pull off an amazing event. The best way to make an event truly unique is by having incredible props.

Real, 3D props, that consumers can see, touch and feel, stand out like never before. Barletta Content Manager, 9+ years Manufacturer Marketing, Brand Management, Customer Experience, and life-long boater. To trim the engine simply means moving the engine up and down by using the trim function typically found on the throttle. Many marine creatures rely on sound to communicate, navigate, find food, or avoid predators. The team has patented the design, and while it's not clear whether there are plans to commercialize it, MIT appears to be prepared to license it to interested manufacturers.

One key issue with multicopter props is their annoying noise, which is often described as "whiny," because much of it sits right in the same frequency range as a baby's cries. Humans tend to be most sensitive to sounds between around 100 Hz and 5 kHz. This makes evolutionary sense; it's where we hear vowel sounds that are key to verbal communication. But it's a key issue if multicopters are going to fulfill their potential and fill our skies with fast, cheap, clean aerial delivery services. Residents and lawmakers don't want to add more annoying noises to urban life.

Quieter propellers are just one part of an impending reckoning for the shipping industry. Sharrow began selling propellers to recreational boaters in 2020 through a company he founded called Sharrow Marine. But to determine the noise reduction for ocean life, Halpern said that it's crucial to measure the frequencies, in hertz, of the propeller noise.

And today, our custom props can now be found within every Walmart™ in North America. That's what the custom prop experts at DesignTown USA™ can do for your next nationwide, retail product promotion. Sharrow said his loop-based boat propellers are about 20 decibels softer than traditional propellers because both tip vortices and cavitation are "eliminated or significantly reduced." It's unclear at this stage whether designs like this might be relevant at a larger scale, replacing traditional propellers on fixed-wing aircraft, or indeed on electric VTOL air taxis. The latter already appear to be significantly quieter than helicopters, but if they end up flooding the urban airspace with fast, cheap, green aerial transport, every decibel of noise will count when it comes to public and regulatory resistance.
